State Route 96 weekly closure mornings to mid-afternoons

SNOHOMISH — From 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, Tuesday, Feb. 18 to Friday, May 2, both directions of State Route 96/East Lowell-Larimer Road near Snohomish will close between Seattle Hill Road (milepost 5) and state Route 9 (milepost 7) for utility work beginning Feb. 18.

Hope 'N Wellness, a safe place for unhoused in downtown Everett, being shut down by city

EVERETT — Located near Pacific and Rucker avenues, Hope ‘N Wellness has been a safe place where homeless individuals can come to rest, seek advice on resources, drink a cup of coffee and possibly get a new coat for the winter. The city of Everett is seeking to shut them down due to a code violation.

State Route 522 closed near Monroe Monday afternoon due to high-speed, head-on crash

MONROE -- State Route 522 is blocked well before entering Monroe. It was a high-speed head-on collision between two cars east of Fales Road and west of the Snohomish River bridge on the highway, Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue spokesman Peter Mongillo said. Three people were in the two vehicles. All three have been extracted and are advanced life support patients.
