16-year-old Sofia Larson of Snohomish walks her 18-month-old steer named Lark at the Evergreen State Fair in Monroe Thursday, Aug. 22. They are competing in the Evergreen Youth Livestock Show. The animals are often bred and shown for sale at auction. The Fair skips Aug. 28 for a reset day, and continues Aug. 29 through Sept. 2.
