Sharon Lynn Hopkins

June 17, 1933 - April 7, 2025

Our beloved mother, Aunt, Grandmother and great grandmother Sharon Lynn Hopkins went to heaven to be with her loved ones on April 7th, 2025 in Snohomish, Wa. at 91 years of age with her two sons by her side.
Sharon was born 6/17/1933 in Snohomish where she grew up and raised her family on a small farm just outside Snohomish for the greater part of her life. It was a place for many family gatherings. “On the farm “was a piece of heaven her family acquired in 1943.

Sharon attended Snohomish High School and was once crowned Kla-HA-YA Days’ princess. Sharon was known for her wonderful holiday dinners and her delicious pies. Her peanut brittle was second to none and would have won every blue ribbon.

Sharon was a kind and loving soul. Her joys in life were her family, exercising and gardening. She was also a volunteer at the Snohomish Senior Center.

Sharon retired from the Snohomish school district as a School bus driver for over 25 years. Her and Hoppy eventually moved to Silver Firs into a smaller home. Mom spent her last 3 years at Cogir retirement home in Mill Creek, WA.

Sharon was married to Dalton (Hoppy) Hopkins in 1950 and had many wonderful years together until his passing in 2007.

Sharon is preceded in death by her mother and father Wilfred and Freda Heppell, Sister Marilyn Black and brother Rod Heppell.

Sharon leaves behind her two sons Richard Hopkins (Janet Price) and Rodney (Susan) Hopkins. Beloved Nieces Sherrie (Gerry) Bigelow, Kim (Garrett) Ferarro and Nephew Jon Black. Grandchildren Matt Hopkins, Brady (Maggie) Hopkins, Stefanie (Kyle) McLarren, Crystal (Nick) Dickerson. Great Grandchildren Sienna and Easton Dickerson, Donavon and Owen McLaren. Grandnephew Jarrod Bigelow, Grandniece Kaitlin Carver.
Sharon will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew her, especially her family, Cousin Cheryl Ogden, Neighbor Pam and good friend Ellen Scriver, which was her last remaining close friend.

Grave side service will be held at the G.A.R Cemetery in Snohomish on June 28 at 1 PM.
