What do electeds think of current enforcement level of Snohomish traffic laws?

SNOHOMISH TRAFFIC, NOISE

To the Editor:

There was a time when towns like Snohomish posted signs on the city limits warning inbound motorist that traffic and noise laws were strictly enforced. But that was then. The signs we see now — those pathetic lawn signs urging motorists to slow down — tell a different story: Snohomish doesn’t enforce these laws.

It’s a wonder to me if the mayor and city council ever feel a sense of responsibility when they see these signs and hear the passing blasts of motorists who have

illegally modified their vehicle’s exhaust.  Maybe they don’t think it’s that important.

With the upcoming Snohomish city elections in mind, I’d like to invite the incumbents and their challengers to respond to this specific (but simple!) question about how the city enforces traffic and vehicles noise laws:  Is the city presently doing too little enforcement, too much enforcement, or is the enforcement of these laws just about right?

Such simple questions.  I look forward to hearing their replies!
