MONROE — Bring a lawn chair to Lake Tye Park for a free public concert series on Friday evenings that starts this week.
• Country artist Megs McLean plays Friday, July 9 at 7 p.m.
• Rockers BroHamm will play Friday, July 16 at 7 p.m.
• Michelle Taylor will play Friday, July 23 at 7 p.m.
• Lastly, the Spazmatics, an ‘80s tribute band, plays July 30 at 7 p.m.
In August, the city’s “Movies Under the Moon” series starts at dusk at Lake Tye Park on Friday nights. The lineup is “The War With Grandpa” (PG, 2020) on Aug. 6; “Frozen II” (PG, 2019) on Aug. 13;“The Lion King” on Aug. 20 and a “Jumanji” flick on Aug. 27.
