Council vote on tax hikes Wednesday, June 18
EVERETT — A slew of ordinances raising taxes and fees for Everett residents will be voted on by City Council this week. A public hearing will open before the vote so that people can give feedback from residents. Among the proposed taxes are 6 percent utility taxes, a new cable and garbage tax and a $20 car tab fee. Another ordinance raises business license fees and creates annual renewal fees, which will affect all businesses in Everett.
The City Council meeting is at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18 at 3002 Wetmore Ave.
