Everett phasing in new police cruiser color scheme
EVERETT - Everett’s police cars will start getting a new look next month as the city’s cruisers will be black and white.
Police Department spokesman Sgt. Ryan Dalberg confirmed the department hopes to start phasing in the new look in May.
The department has new Ford Interceptor police cars coming, and also just got a purchase order confirmed for nine Ford Fusion hybrid sedans for its detectives and support staff. The Fusion order cost approximately $236,000.
A few local departments have changed back to the black-and-white cruiser look.
Snohomish introduced this appearance in 2012 for its newest police cars, and Mukilteo started using a black and white design recently as well.
