Kai Smalley named new Panthers football coach SNOHOMISH - Kai Smalley has been named the new Snohomish High School football coach. Smalley is a native of the Pacific Northwest and received his degree from the University of Oregon. Smalley played for the University of Oregon Ducks as a defensive lineman from 1998 through 2002. Smalley’s past coaching experience includes: • 2003-2004 - Defensive Line Coach, Thurston High School in Springfield, Ore. • 2005-2007 - Defensive Coordinator, Marist High School in Eugene, Ore. • 2008-2009 - Assistant Coach, Wasatch High School in Heber City, Utah • 2010-2012 - Head Coach, Park City High School in Park City, Utah Smalley and his wife, Lyndsey, have two children and will move to Snohomish prior to the 2013 season.
