Neighbors in the Riverside Neighborhood in northeast Everett collected $280 for the Everett Animal Shelter at its annual February fundraiser.
The neighborhood’s March meeting will feature master gardener Cathy Reed.
The neighborhood could be getting a Little Free Library at Riverside Park. Girl Scout Troup 42903 is fundraising to put in the library by the end of April or May, troop leader Misty Finlayson said.
Riverside will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 12 at North Middle School, 2514 Rainier Ave. Doors open at 6:15 p.m.
The Evergreen Neighborhood will host the nonprofit group Forterra, which is part of a city project to help and maintain urban forests, at its April 1 meeting.
Forterra representatives will talk about work on urban forests, which includes helping Morgan-Madison Park in the neighborhood, neighborhood representative Ben Blacker said.
The neighborhood hosted city emergency management coordinator Mary Schoenfeldt to discuss emergency preparedness at its March 4 meeting after press time.

The Bayside Neighborhood will feature a master gardener to discuss plants at its March 20 meeting, chair Andrea Tucker said.
The neighborhood meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 20 at the main library downtown. South Forest Park Neighborhood
The South Forest Park Neighborhood just south of 41st Street is still planning its March speaker. It has a garden planning meeting March 19 to set up work parties, plot assignments and discuss planting ideas, chair Dennis Dudder said. The garden is at Zion Lutheran Church and grows food for neighbors and the Everett Food Bank.
The neighborhood meets 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 12 at Zion Lutheran Church on the corner of 47th and Alger streets. View Ridge-Madison Neighborhood
The View Ridge-Madison Neighborhood will meet March 6 to plan for neighborhood grants. The meeting is at 7 p.m. at the Madison School Library, 616 Pecks Dr.
The neighborhood is holding an Easter egg hunt at Faith Lutheran Church, 11:30 a.m. on March 30 at 6708 Cady Rd. The hunt begins at noon.
A work party at Morgan-Madison Street Neighborhood Park is scheduled for Saturday April 20, time to be determined.
The neighborhood is hosting an Interurban Trail cleanup at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 16. Meet at Cascade High School. Port Gardner Neighborhood
The Port Gardner Neighborhood will host library director Eileen Simmons at its March meeting. Simmons will talk about what’s happening at the downtown main library. The neighborhood meets at 6:45 p.m. Monday, March 11 in the cafeteria of Jackson Elementary, 3700 Federal Ave.
