TIPS NEWS: Everett Silvertips goalie Kent Simpson knocks the puck away from Seattle Thunderbirds center Luke Lockhart (20) while Silvertips defender Evan Morden comes to his aid in the first period of the Tips' 4-3 overtime shoot out loss Tuesday, Dec. 27 at Comcast Arena in Everett. It was the Tips' second shoot out loss in two nights as they lost to the Thunderbirds the night before at ShoWare Center in Kent. Down 3-1 as they started the final period, center Ryan Harrison netted two goals for the Tips to put the game into overtime. As the Tips enter the second half of this year’s season they hold the last place spot in the Western Conference of the WHL with a record of 6-29. The team returns home Jan. 7 against Tri-Cities. |
