Michael grew up in Southern California and lived in Snohomish since 1983 with his wife, Edie, and their two sons, Joshua and Brody. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Myrtis Pierson. He is survived by his wife, Edie, sons, Todd, Joshua, and Brody, daughter, Heather, grandchildren, Aaron, Lauren and Victoria, great-grandchildren, Sydney and Riley, brothers Arion and Jay, aunt, Phyllis, and many beloved brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Michael requested his ashes be spread out over the Pacific Ocean near Catalina Island, as were the ashes of his beloved childhood friend, Harold, a few years ago. A celebration of life and spreading of Michael’s ashes will be in Southern California in early spring. Donations can be made to ‘The Center for Wooden Boats” in Seattle to further Michael’s love of sailing and restoration of old boats.
