Ben T. Sprague of Snohomish, WA passed away December 14th at home. He was born November 15, 1921 in Spokane, WA. Ben loved flying and spent thousands of hours flying in his long career. He started flying as an officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force becoming a top flight instructor. He flew for the sea plan base out of Tulalip Bay and held flying instruction at Paine Field after World War II. Ben crop dusted by plane and later helicopter the Snohomish valley for many years. If not flying, he enjoyed golf and traveling in his motor home with family, horses for many years, and tending to his home. He was a loving husband and good father and we will all miss his quick sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife Bernice of 64 years and his brother Bob Sprague (Jean) of Olympia. He was one of five brothers. He will be missed by his son Tom Sprague of Mt. Vernon and David Sprague (Chris) of Prosser as well has his daughter Bonnie Sprague (Steve Bogert) of Bellingham. Grand children include Whitney Davis (Travis) of Prosser, Ben Sprague of Prosser, Zach Sprague of Burien, Jon Sprague (Amy) of Grandview, Amy Rosencrans (Travis) Stanwood, Danell Edwards (Tad) Marysville, Nick Bogert (Amanda) Portland, and Jennifer Bogert of Bonney Lake. Great grand children are Mackenzie, Ethan, Oliver, Natalie, Amber, Parker, and Carter.
No service will be held. Memorial gathering announced at a future date.
