Eula M. Schieck May 9, 1932, July 23, 2010

Eula M. Schieck was born on May 9, 1932, in Viola, Arkansas, and passed away on July 23, 2010, in Snohomish, Wash.
Eula moved to the Wenatchee area at a young age. She married Chet Schieck, and Chet’s job took them to various locations across the country before they settled in Oakville, Wash. Eula became an active member of the community there, and she was particularly proud of her work with the Reading is Fundamental program. She moved to Snohomish in 2007 to be closer to family.
Eula was preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle and John W. Deatherage; her husband, Chester Schieck; her son, Michael Deatherage; her brothers, R.E. Willeford, Norman Deatherage, and John Wesley Deatherage, Jr.; and her sisters, Bunah Vest, Christine McMullen, and Retha Fisher.
Eula is survived by her sister, Vera Austin; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; and many beloved friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 6, at G.A.R. Cemetery in Snohomish. Viewing will take place at Bauer Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 6.
