GroundFrog Day is Feb. 1
The ninth annual GroundFrog Day kicks off Feb. 1 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the gazebo on First Street and Avenue A. Snohomish Slew will make his Frognostication for the Pacific Northwest. Will the Pacific Northwest see early spring rainbows with sun and showers or be plagued with six more weeks of foggy, soggy, chilly days?

• Frog jump (rope) competition
• Master of ceremonies
• Performances by Tim Noah and Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater
• Face painting
Kid’s can hang out in the “Tadpole Zone” or have photos taken with Webbly of the Aquasox, Oxy Gene, defender of clean air from Community Transit and Tad and Lilly, Slew’s cousins from Kla Ha Ya Days. Slew will be transported to the event by Snohomish Fire District 4. Princess Amphibiana returns for photo opportunities.

Fire crew moves back into Maple Avenue fire station
SNOHOMISH - The fire station on Maple Avenue reopened this week.
Engineers are finished with repairs to the building, which suffered structural damage to the roof, forcing crews to relocate until it was repaired.
