The city is scheduled to adopt a master plan later this month that will establish a wildlife refuge area in the west end of town.

Eight blind children from Snohomish, Monroe and Lake Forest Park participated in this year’s camp sponsored by the Snohomish County Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation. Members of the SHS tennis teams were camp instructors. The camp uses special oversize tennis balls that are equipped with a bell inside.

When you can set off fireworks in Snohomish, Monroe
The cities of Snohomish and Monroe allow people to set off fireworks during certain hours over the Fourth of July holiday.
In Snohomish, fireworks can be set off between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. on July 1, 2, 3, and 4. Fireworks can only be sold within city limits between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. July 1, 2, 3 and 4.
In Monroe, fireworks can be set off between 9 a.m. and midnight on July 4. The sale of fireworks was allowed on June 28 and 29.
