About 10,000 cutthroat trout were unloaded into Blackman’s Lake in Snohomish last week as part of the Snohomish Sportsmen’s Club’s effort to keep the lake stocked for fishing. The fish came from the state’s Wallace River hatchery near Sultan. A load of rainbow trout will be arriving in March.

The three-day weekend event attracted an estimated 7,000 visitors. In its seventh year at the fairgrounds, the expo featured all things scaled down in size and radio controlled.
