Loni Fitzgerald of Everett holds her cat, Clair, after the two were reunited at the Everett Animal Shelter on Monday, Dec. 17. Clair, who went missing a year ago, was found by a shelter employee Dec. 16 nearly seven miles from Fitzgerald’s home. A microchip implanted gave the shelter Fitzgerald’s contact information. After going through surgery for cancer in 2010, Fitzgerald adopted Clair to keep her company during her recuperation.
