Emerson Elementary School para-educator Pam Cox carefully maneuvers through the mud while third/fourth grade teacher Elaisa Navarro ducks under a pipe as the two compete in the inaugural Hero’s 5K Mud Run Saturday, Sept. 8 at Bartelheimer Farm in Snohomish.
