Brewmaster Pat Ringe of Mukilteo’s Diamond Knot Craft Brewing serves a sample of the brewery’s blonde ale at the Everett Craft Beer Festival on Saturday, Aug. 18. Sponsored by the Washington Beer Commission, the festival featured more than 60 craft beers from 27 Washington breweries. Other local breweries at the festival included Everett’s Lazy Boy Brewing and Scuttlebutt Brewing.

Everett Public Schools Foundation’s Stuff the Bus collected enough cash donations and supplies to fill 300 backpacks for this year’s school supply drive. The effort helped finalize the overall school supply drive’s goal of filling 1,716 backpacks. Other donors included: Boeing employees and World Vision (1,000 backpacks and school supplies), Costco (450 backpacks) and Fred Meyer ($3,850 in school supply donations).
