TRAFFIC ALERT - First Street/Avenue D closure update
SNOHOMISH -The city is wrapping up phase one intersection improvement work for the First Street/Avenue D traffic signal project.
The weeks of July 23 and July 30 the southbound lane along Avenue D will be closed south of Second Street. The northbound lane on Avenue D will remain open. First Street will be closed between avenues C and D and between avenues D and E. Access out of downtown headed south via Airport Way will be detoured to Highway 9 at Second Street.
The city is installing a traffic signal and intersection improvements. The project is expected to wrap up early January 2013.
