DOWNTOWN SNOHOMISH — The Snohomish Chamber of Commerce’s annual Easter Parade is 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7 on First Street. Keeping with tradition, the Snohomish County Tribune’s “Easter Bunny” will be leading the parade and welcoming the crowd to Snohomish. This year’s parade sponsors are the city of Snohomish, Bickford Motors, Gilpin Realty, Stocker Farms and Cascade Fence.
Enter the Easter Bonnet Contest (no age limit and pets are welcome). Sign up is located at First Street and Avenue A beginning at 10 a.m. and judging starts immediately following the parade at that location.
There is no Easter Egg Hunt prior to the parade. See pages 5 and 9 for Easter happenings around Snohomish County. Pictured, Brooklynn Hadland, 5, of Snohomish plays with a pinwheel after she won the 2011 Easter Bonnet contest in the 4- to 7-year-old category. Last year’s contest attracted nearly 100 entries, including a number of dogs and two calves.
