Snohomish Community Kitchen public free dinner to do sit-down meals soon
SNOHOMISH — The Snohomish Community Kitchen offers free meals Mondays and Thursdays 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. The meal is at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 913 Second St., Snohomish.
The nonprofit organization invites all who are hungry for food or fellowship to attend the free dinners.
There is also free meal delivery to shut-ins.
After three years of serving bagged meals because of COVID-19 and St. John’s recent remodel, the meal program will restart in-person dinners starting Monday, Sept. 11.
Eleven churches and civic groups help prepare the meals on a rotating schedule. Organizers would love to have more organizations help with this effort.
If you would like to volunteer, or are a person who needs a meal delivered, or have your organization become a regularly participating member, contact Sandie Wheeler at 425-308-9813.
