Summer concert series starts up June 28
EVERETT - Each year, the city of Everett invites residents and visitors to enjoy free live music staged against a backdrop of beautiful park and civic settings.
The four summer series showcase outstanding performers from both the local and regional level, with a variety of music styles ranging from danceable rock to soulful blues, from Latin jazz to blazing country rock. And that’s not including the children’s series, featuring engaging children’s performers from around the Northwest.
With over 30 performers this summer at Music in the Parks, there’s sure to be something to please everyone in the family. There’s just nothing like live music in the open air!
The Children’s Concert Series is located at Thornton A. Sullivan Park in Silver Lake, 11405 Silver Lake Rd. on Thursdays 10-11am. The series is designed to inspire the imaginations of kids and adults with positive energetic, interactive shows.
The Thursday Night Waterfront Series is located at Port Gardner Landing, 1700 W. Marine View Dr. from 6:30-8:30pm. The Port Gardner Landing is the perfect backdrop for the waterfront concert series. With its dramatic marina setting, this venue adds refreshing dimension to evening performances of some of the Northwest’s finest musical entertainers.
The Saturday Evening Waterfront Series, also held at Port Gardner Landing, will be from 6:30-8:30pm with a great variety of bands to entertain you.
The Sunday Afternoon Waterfront Series will also be held at Port Gardner Landing. The series will be from 2-4pm. A variety of bands will perform playing mellow music suitable for a relaxed weekend afternoon.
